Candela Laser

The Candela Laser Company began making a footprint into our industry when it first started its operations in the U.S. in 1970, and it’s current technological direction is being spearheaded by the CEO Gerald Puorro. The company, now a joint venture with the even better known Syneron Aesthetic company, is located in Massachusetts and offers a number of aesthetics machines to physician’s offices and skin care clinics. Candela Laser manufactures medical-grade optical energy technologies for a large number of cosmetic procedures such as the treatment of acne and acne scars, laser hair removal, treatment of uneven skin pigmentation, tattoo removal, and procedures to get rid of wrinkles. The company offers a number of different hair removal systems, with their most popular of which being the Candela Gentlelase and the Candela Smoothbeam laser. The Candela laser hair removal devices are designed for all classes of hair type, from type 1-5 on the Fitzpatrick scale, and regardless of thickness or coarseness. When looking for a physician to perform various aesthetic procedures with the company’s lasers, it is important to locate one who has experience with such devices, as the variety of settings may cause inadvertent errors that will lead to skin damage.

Candela Laser Hair Removal

Physicians who choose a Candela laser hair removal solutions can select from a number of different machines. For example, the Gentle Max Pro Candela laser machine is a hair removal system that also treats skin pigmentation issues, as well as vascular lesions.  This Candela laser machine combines two different powerful lasers to remove hair quickly and with a minimal amount of pain. The Gentle Max Pro is part of a series that also includes the GentleLase Pro-U and the Candela Smoothbeam laser. Each of these lasers can be upgraded during purchase to increase the efficiency of treatment delivery to patients.

Candela laser hair removal products are designed to deliver light energy to the hair follicle, destroying the follicle completely in the process, thus inhibiting re-growth. Surrounding skin is protected during the procedure because the company claims that this fractional laser can deliver a highly-targeted beam of light to smaller areas of skin. This is believed to decrease the chances of serious injury or damage to surrounding skin. In addition, the Candela laser Motif HR system includes tools that are specifically designed to treat larger areas of the body in order to decrease procedure time for greater patient satisfaction.

The Elos Plus

The elos Plus Syneron Candela laser has a number of features that will allow physicians to work faster and with more efficiency. This system features an interface that allows users to choose from a number of treatments with the touch of a button, allowing for multiple procedures that include hair removal, acne treatment, and skin pigmentation problems. The digital feedback system lets physicians know exactly how much energy is being delivered to the skin so that immediate adjustments can be made. This Candela laser system also includes a number of different applicators—eight in all—to offer patients a wider selection of treatment options.

The eMax

The eMax Syneron Candela laser system is another example of a multi-functional laser machine for hair removal, skin tightening, and for treating skin pigmentation issues. The eMax system also treats acne, wrinkles, and is designed to tighten skin with the company’s patented ReFirme treatment.

eTwo

The eTwo is a facial rejuvenation system from Candela that offers a number of benefits for physician offices. Not only is this system highly portable and lightweight, but it also allows physicians to offer their patients two different facial treatments in a short amount of time. The company claims that the eTwo can deliver treatment in as briefly as twenty minutes with little to no downtime afterward. eTwo combines two treatments, which are the Sublime and Sublative rejuvenation, both of which apply radio frequency energy to the skin, and many skin care experts believe this stimulates the growth of new collagen to get rid of wrinkles and fine lines. Candela laser technology can be an effective tool to fight signs of aging and remove unwanted hair, but can carry risks of skin burning and prolonged discomfort after treatment.
