As volume is lost in the lower eyelid, the tear trough will become more apparent. The shadow, or dark circles, will become more prominent when the lower eyelid bags accentuate them. Under eye fillers, which are a non-invasive treatment that has very little risks and complications compared to surgery, are often used to treat those with dark circles or hollowed eyes.
