Cheek Fillers

You Guide to Perfect Skin: Cheek Fillers Review

Cheek fillers were designed to add volume to the cheeks. As the face ages, there is often facial volume loss. Gravity will cause the face to sag, making the face look much older. Strong cheekbones are a sign of classic beauty, which will help to add symmetry to the face. Cheek fillers can be injected into the cheek area to restore not only volume, but to create a youthfulness that was once there. Cheek fillers offer a non-invasive way to gain back youthfulness and lift the facial area.

What results can one expect with cheek fillers?

Injections of cheek fillers will gently lift and round the cheek area, which will help to balance the rest of the face. The surrounding skin will also be tightened, which will allow the face not to have a too angled look. Injecting cheek fillers into the face is one of the most effective procedures on the market for plumping up the cheek area and contouring the cheeks. Cheek dermal fillers will rejuvenate the face as they lift everything on the face up. The hollow of the eye is reduced, the mouth downturn is decreased, and the nasolabial folds are diminished while having a cheek filler injected.

How do cheek fillers work?

A series of skin injections will be given to the individual. The depth and number of injections will depend on the results the individual is trying to achieve.

How much do cheek fillers cost?

Cost for cheek fillers depends on how much is injected into the face, who is doing the procedure, and  the location of the procedure. The average cost for cheek fillers is between $600 to $3,000. Results last from six months to one year, with no downtime needed after the injections are placed in the cheeks.

Cheek Fillers Before and After

Who are good candidate for cheek fillers? Who are not good candidates?

If an individual has one or more of the following scenarios, they may be good candidates for cheek fillers: hollows in the cheek and temple area, deflated looking cheekbones that are flat, under eye bags or lines with wrinkles on the cheeks, and cheeks that lack definition. Those that should avoid having cheek fillers are those that are not experiencing any of the conditions stated above.

What are the side effects of cheek fillers?

An individual that has cheek fillers injected into the face may see temporary bruising and swelling.  The individual may feel some lumpiness with the tongue on the inside of the cheek. To assist with avoiding cheek fillers side effects it is important that the cosmetic clinic providing this treatment uses accredited cosmetic practitioners. At Advanced Dermatology cheek fillers procedures are done by registered medical practitioners. Get in touch with us here or fill in the form below.

Do cheek fillers hurt when injected?

Cheek fillers will often have a painkiller that is added to the filler before it is injected into the skin. The injections are done a few at a time to space out the treatment so the individual has a recovery time. The process should take fifteen minutes to one hour. After the injections, there is no downtime needed.  Some swelling, bruising, and redness may be apparent but the patient can return to normal activities right away. The patient should avoid touching the face after the treatment.

How does one choose the right filler?

There are many different kinds of cheek fillers available to choose from. An individual should discuss with his or her medical practitioner what kind of results they are wanting. Some cheek fillers offer very natural looking results. An individual’s practitioner will be able to help determine what kind of filler is right based on the desired results the patient would like to see. Other factors that will be taken into consideration for choosing the right cheek filler are the patient’s age, the condition of the skin and the underlying tissues, and the proportion of the face.

I am so glad that I found this article. I am at my wits end with my aging. My face is really sagging. I want a simple remedy for this that does not involve going under the knife. It sounds to me like a cheek filler would be right for me. I am wanting to know though, if I have a cheek filler, then do I need to stay on top of it and have a cheek filler injected from time to time once the effects wear off?

Ladies, getting cheek fillers was the best thing that I have ever done. Yes it helped my cheeks gain some volume that has been lost over the years due to aging. But I also saw more! The rest of my face looks younger due to the fact that it lifted everything on my face. I do not look tired anymore under the eyes as it did cause the hollowness that I had there to be erased. The pain was never an issue for me. It simply did not hurt too much. My dermatologist gave me breathers where he would stop and I would sit for a minute or so to regain myself. But really, I probably could have done without. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a younger looking face. It really does help and I can not help but look at myself now, thinking how good I look.

I am so glad that I had cheek fillers. My cheekbones look amazing now. I actually have some. I must tell you I was nervous about having the process done. But I am glad that I did. I had a filler that gives very natural results. My face looks soft. I was worried about having chipmunk cheeks or being super tight looking. But I did my research before hand and picked the best dermatologist in the area. That is one piece of advice that I will give. Always know who will be injecting you. Know that they have experience and always ask to see before and after pictures of procedures that they have personally done themselves so you know what sort of work they are capable of!

Seven months ago, I had some cheek fillers. I must say it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Worth every last cent that I paid for it. I have never been happier. I love looking at myself now and do not see an aging lady. I see a lady that has high cheekbones, with lifted eyes and a mouth that is turned up. I smile more now than I have in years. Take it from this 55 year old! One can look like they are 40. I know that I sure do.

I had cheek fillers injected about a year ago. The most painful part was when the anesthetic was injected into my skin. However that pain did not last only a few seconds. It felt sort of prickly. They do one cheek at a time, then move to the other cheek, and then go back to the first one. However, I was allowed to ice my cheeks, which I do feel really helped me out. My doctor also massaged the area that was being injected. This was to make sure that the injection was being fully distributed to the cheeks. Having the needles injected did not hurt one bit. Many are often surprised to hear that. The massaging hurt worse I feel.
