Brow Lift

Non-Surgical Brow Lift using Dermal Fillers

Brow lifts are used to help reduce the wrinkles an individual may see develop on the forehead horizontally. A brow lift reduces wrinkles that have formed at the bridge of the nose and between the eyes as well. Brow lifts will improve frown lines, or the vertical creases that form between the eyebrows. Having a brow lift will give a youthful look while raising the eyebrows in an alert position.

Brow lifts can be performed using dermal fillers. This technique does not involve any surgery, and is quite common to use. A very fine needle will be used to inject the skin by the eye area with 3 to 10 injections on each side of the forehead. This will cause the eyebrow to be lowered. Treating Crow’s feet at the same time will give optimal results. The middle section of the brow may also be injected to lift them in appearance.

An individual’s dermatologist will be able to determine the correct amount of dermal filler to be used. This will be decided once the face has been examined. The skin specialist will examine the face and determine what shape the brows are as well as how they currently sit. He or she will note if there is any eyelid drooping or asymmetry, and take note of if the temples or forehead need to be lifted.

Prior to dermal fillers being used for a brow lift, a numbing cream can be applied. This is usually applied 45 minutes before treatment is to take place. Saran wrap can also be used over the numbing cream to increase the effect of it. However, most individuals do note that the treatment is not painful, and numbing cream is often not needed. Ice will also be offered to decrease any discomfort felt.

How is a brow lift performed using dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers will be injected into the skin below and under the outer eyebrow. This will help to plump up this area, which will in turn raise the eyebrow. This will help to restore a more youthful appearance. Typically ½ to 1 syringe of dermal filler is needed for this. The bony orbital rim around the eyebrows will also be softened with these injections, which will give a softer appearance to the area, making the area appear more youthful. The dermal filler may also be injected into the middle half of the brow, which will help reduce the appearance of droopy eyelids.

How safe is a brow lift with dermal fillers?

There are many different reasons an individual would choose to have a brow lift using dermal fillers. The first reason is this is a non-invasive treatment, which means no surgery. Most dermal fillers used are made from natural and synthetic injectable substance which is found naturally in the skin. Dermal fillers have been around for years, and are considered relatively safe for the skin. Complications of dermal fillers include bruising, swelling, lumps, skin redness, and a skin rash with itching. However, finding a qualified medical practitioner that has experience with dermal fillers will help to reduce the minor risk associated with dermal fillers.

What are the benefits of having a brow lift done with dermal fillers?

One of the greatest benefits of having a brow lift done with dermal fillers is little to no recovery time. There are very small chances of any side effects. Dermal fillers were designed to give the skin a smoother appearance rather quickly with no surgical scarring. Brow lift using dermal fillers provides immediate results but to maintain the results it does require top up once in a while.

Last summer, I had brow lift and I opted for the dermal fillers. I did not want something that was going to have a lot of downtime. Dermal fillers seemed like the best option for me for a brow lift. I shopped around, really looking at seeing who was best qualified to do the injections. I knew what I wanted done, and I knew that I was willing to pay more to the right person if they knew what they were doing. I researched my skin specialist, asked questions about the procedure and also asked how many procedures like this he has done. I found out who would be helping him and what their qualifications were. I think that asking these questions seem like a bother to so many people, but everyone has the right to know who will be working on them.

Oh, no. I wouldn’t. However, this article has changed everything for me. I am excited to learn more about dermal fillers for a brow lift! Excellent article here, and I hope that it helps keep others informed as it has helped me decide in what I want to do. Cheers!

In my opinion, if you would ask me that is, I think that this is a great alternative to having a surgery and I do encourage people to look into this. However, I am cautioning people because a lady I worked with had dermal fillers done on her face. She went with a person that had little to no experience and ended up with having some lumps under her eyes! She looked terrible and I felt awful for her, really. She did not do her research very well and only went with this guy because he not only promised her good results, but he was cheap as well. However, with this information that I have shared, do not be scared by dermal fillers for brow lifts. I think they are an excellent way to go if you find someone that is experienced enough to know what they are doing. I have seen others that have had dermal fillers done and their experiences were good, with no side effects shown!

I am interested in having a brow lift done.  I guess I always assumed that one needed to have them surgically done. I am excited to learn that they can be done with just dermal fillers! I have had dermal fillers done before, about 5 years ago. It did not hurt at all and the procedure was pretty simple. I may have to ask my therapist if I would qualify to have dermal fillers used for a brow lift for me.

I have had dermal fillers done before but never for a brow lift. I didn’t know it was possible, at all. I loved the way the dermal fillers made my skin look! I am confident that they would work well as an eye brow lift. Next year I turn 50, and I most likely do need a brow lift. I am not really into having surgery for things like this, so it would be great to make an appointment with my dermatologist and just have them use dermal fillers to perform the brow lift.
