Best Eye Cream Review

Eye creams can treat many different conditions aging individuals see on the skin around the eyes. The best eye cream will treat puffiness and dark circles. The best eye cream can help with fine lines and wrinkles that are often formed around the eyes, keeping the skin smooth and soft and supple.

Why Do We Need An Eye Cream?

Some may ponder why they really need an eye cream? They may think they can just use their normal moisturiser around the eyes. However, the best eye cream will allow the skin around the eyes be treated with the best ingredients to fully restore the skin around the eyes, erasing the tell tale signs of ageing. Around the eyes, the skin is more fragile than on the rest of the face, so a separate eye cream should essentially be used. Many do not realise that the skin around the eyes is up to ten times thinner than the rest of the face. There are fewer oil glands under the eyes, too making this skin very prone to dryness, which can show fatigue faster than the rest of the facial skin. Fine lines and wrinkles are easily formed due to squinting of the eyes. Dark circles can be formed when fluids are collecting under the eyes, which may possibly cause puffiness as well. The best eye cream will seek out these problem areas and work to correct them.

The best eye cream is formulated to be richer than a normal facial moisturiser. They contain more emollients, which help the skin swell, to show fewer lines and wrinkles. The best eye cream is often thicker than a normal facial cream or moisturiser, which will allow the product to stay on better.

What Should The Best Eye Creams Do?

The best eye cream will help with dark circles by healing the area and plumping the skin up so it is pulled up and out from the eyes rather than right next to the area that is pooling the blood. Fine lines should be erased by not only moisturising the area, but also form a barrier to hold moisture into the skin. Cell rate turnover should be observed as old skin is sloughed away. This is often done with eye creams that contain alpha hydroxy and beta hydroxy in eye creams. Collagen and elastin can also be found in the best eye creams, as these two proteins that occur naturally in the body and will help to plump up the eye area.

What Should I Use As An Eye Cream?

There are essential ingredients in the best eye cream. When seeking the best eye cream, look for ones that contain any of the following:

  • Peptides-The best eye cream will contain wrinkle fighting peptides. Peptides are found naturally in the body. They are made from amino acids, which help build protein. Peptides are great for those that have super sensitive skin, as they are much gentler on the dermis of the skin. They are a great alternative to those that may be considering dermal fillers or plastic surgery, as the results are tremendous. Peptides will help to stimulate the collagen and elastin production, as well as giving an improvement in tone, texture, and resiliency of the skin.
  • Antioxidants- Antioxidants have been known to make the skin more youthful and be more even toned as they have many wonderful benefits. These skin repairing antioxidants are found in the best eye cream. Antioxidants will protect the skin by limiting free radicals, which are responsible for damaging the skin. They will help firm the skin, and reduce the wrinkles plumping up the skin. Vitamins C and E are two top antioxidants used in many of the best eye creams. Antioxidants are known to reduce inflammation, and will repair sun damaged skin.
  • Retinol- Many of the best eye creams will contain retinol, which is a vitamin A derivative. Retinol helps stimulate cell turnover and collagen production. It will help to make the skin stronger, as well as reduce any visible imperfections on the skin. They can be very drying to the skin, and are strong, so only a bit is needed each time. They can make the skin sensitive to the sun as well.
  • Hyaluronic acid and ceramides- Hyaluronic acids help to plump up the skin cells, which will help with the moisture in the skin. It is naturally found in the body, and acts as a lubrication agent in the skin. Hyaluronic acid molecules can retain more than 1,000 times their weight in water, which helps with plumping up the skin cells.
  • Caffeine- Caffeine in an eye cream will help to constrict the blood vessels. This will keep the skin looking tight, and reduce the wrinkles. Caffeine will also help to reduce puffiness in the eye area. Recent studies have also shown that caffeine prevents and repairs sun damaged skin.

At What Age Should An Individual Start Using An Eye Cream?

Individuals should start using an eye cream in their 20s. If eye cream is not used while in the 20s, it should be incorporated by the time the individual turns 30. While signs of ageing might not show up yet, it is a good idea to protect the skin early on. The best eye cream will help to prevent damage to the skin. Applying twice a day will deliver extra moisture to the skin, reducing the chance of wrinkles and fine lines to form there. The best eye cream was designed to keep the skin around the eye area moist, to keep wrinkles at bay. Dry skin around the eyes will show off more deep wrinkles. Should an individual have extremely dry skin, she or he may wish to use an eye cream in their teenage years to combat excess dryness.

I just want to add a few tidbits about ingredients on here. I am a huge fan of Copper, and think that in an eye cream it is fabulous. While it may not be found in the best eye cream, copper is something that I swear by for my eye cream. I feel that it works deep under the skin to help create the collagen that my skin has lost. Another ingredient that I like is vitamin K. It is essential if one needs to stop bruising of the skin, so I am sure that it would work well for those that had dark circles under the eyes.

Ladies please do not use your regular face cream around the eyes. There are some really good eye creams on the market, just find the best eye cream for you and use it. Regular face creams are not made for the eye skin. There could be something in your normal face cream that is too strong to put by the eye area. Regular face creams could irritate the skin around the eyes and the eyes themselves. And let us face it, the eyes are nothing to mess around with.

I never knew there was such a difference in eye creams. I just assumed that they all did the same thing by putting moisture into the skin. I guess I now know what to look for in an eye cream. I want to find the best eye cream for my skin to really help me overcome the aging process. I am starting to get a few lines and Crows feet, which I am not really all too happy about. If I can find a great eye cream, and use it faithfully, maybe I will be able to have some younger, more youthful looking skin.

I never knew this but a few months ago, my best friend told me this trick. Did you know there is a proper way to put on eye cream? You need to place a small amount onto your ring finger and warm it up a bit. Warming it will help the cream be better absorbed into the skin. Then dab the cream onto the skin, starting at the outer corner and working your way to the inner corner. When the eye cream is fully absorbed into the skin, take your middle finger and index finger and brush across they eyebrow. Use slight pressure. Brush from the outer to the inner corner. This is by far the best way to apply your eye cream. Sounds really silly for someone to be explaining how to put on an eye cream, but by following this technique, you will be doing yourself a favor. And it is not hard to do and only takes a minute, so why not follow it?

I have the worst bags under my eyes. It literally looks like I have not slept in days. When I look in the mirror, I feel like I am looking at a zombie! I currently do not use any kind of eye cream because I assumed that my normal moisturizer was fine to use around my eyes. I will be making a change and finding the best eye cream that I can. I want my eyes to be bag free and fully moisturized. I can not stand how I look now. Some days, I am so embarrassed because I just feel that others are only looking at my eyes. I have no other issues with my face, just the ugly bags that need to go away.

I use two different eye creams. One is for the day time and the other is for night. The day one is light and feels good on my skin, and the night eye cream really helps to repair my skin. I have never looked better than I do now. Five years ago I was not using any kind of eye cream. Then I had my makeup done for a wedding and the lady applied a bit of eye cream because she said the skin was really dry around my eyes. She wanted to know if I was using any kind of eye cream, to which I stated no. She basically got me hooked on it. The way my makeup glided over the eye area was nice because there was actually moisture there! Amazing. Since that day, I have applied it, and my eye area has never looked better. I am still really young and do not have any issues with aging, so no wrinkles for me yet. However, I do feel better about not getting wrinkles as I know that the eye cream will do it’s job for me.

I wondered about what the best eye cream is- gel, lotion, serums or creams? Does it matter which one is used as long as there is results? I am currently using a cream, as I find it to be really rich and soothing. But my skin is very oily. I had wondered about using possibly a gel. Can anyone answer if the Youthful Boost Eye gel is good for skin that is oily? I do not want a product that is going to make my eye area really oily. I only use the cream at night, and then do not use anything during the day, which I want to change. I know that my skin around my eyes needs protection twice a day. Anyone that has used gel eye creams think that they are good for oily skin?

I have used Advanced Dermatology’s Youthful Boost eye cream. I love it and am so glad that I have found it. I use it twice a day and my skin under and around my eyes has never looked better. I am 45 years old and started using it at the beginning of the year. It started working right away on me. Within a few months, the lines that I had around my eyes drastically reduced. When I look in the mirror I do not see a 45 year old looking back at me. I see someone that looks younger! And it is all because of this eye cream. I apply it and it feels really soothing. It absorbs quickly into my skin and feels great. I do recommend this to anyone looking for a the best eye cream. It truly can make all the difference.

I had major issues with dry and dull skin. It made me look tired all the time, although there were days when I didn’t have any bags under my eyes, but I would still look tired an dark. I wanted to advise all the women or girls, to start using the cream right after they notice sagging, extreme darkness or for example wrinkles. Not those tiny little crow’s feet, but deeper wrinkles. The under eye area is really important, and makes you look completely different if you take care of it. It brightens your face, makes you look younger. After all, the eyes are the window to your soul, and so is the entire area. The best eye cream I have ever tried was with retinol, and I got it from a doctor actually, as a prescription. It’s so awesome and gives amazing results.

Ever since I could remember, I had dry skin on my face and hands. I used so many moisturizers, all different brands, and kinds. For the face, T-zone, under eye creams, but none of them showed a great difference. When I was in primary school, I remember kids calling me ‘’bat’’ because the dark circles under eyes were grey and purple. What I’ve discovered over the years, by using and trying out so many cosmetic products, is that antioxidants are powerful. They brighten up the under eye area, so you don’t need a concealer, and the eye bags are almost invisible. I don’t know how exactly it works, but it’s true. Try it out, I don’t think it can be harmful in any way.

I can’t express how happy I am to have read this article and listened to the advice. Retinol and Caffeine in the creams have changed my life. They basically transformed the darkness into light, and made the under eye area so much more hydrated and youthful. And the more hydrated the under eye area is the less likely you are going to have deep wrinkles. There are many wrinkle creams out there with these ingredients, and I fully support it! I’ve tested it out for, let’s say, two months? Yea, and it’s perfect, I’m thrilled with the results so far. Skin care products really do make a big difference.

The key is to use the same product for a longer period of time, in order to see whether it will have any effects. I’m 37 and the thing I specifically want is an anti-aging eye cream. Is there something Advanced Dermatology can recommend that is good for women who are in their forties? I’ve read some of the reviews, and some people said that the best anti aging cream for the under eye area is from AD. What are the ingredients that are in it? Thanks in advance for the answer.

There is a treatment with hyaluronic acid that plumps up the under eye area making it look awesome. I saw some before and after shots of people getting hyaluronic injections. Is this possible? The pictures seem to show that the puffy eyes are gone after it, and that black circles under eyes are so much lighter.

If you saw me, I bet you couldn’t even guess how old I am! Thanks to these wonderful creams with antioxidants! Oh, they’re really miracle workers! Especially, in the combination of eye serum plus best skin care products Australia has to offer, you are set to be a gorgeous diva forever! It’s revolutionary how repetitive use of just a little bit of serum and cream can make you look so much younger, and lessen the appearance of the wrinkles around the eyes, which actually make you look ten times older than you really are. I am 45 and my eyes tell a different story. They look bright and the wrinkles are not even that visible, so I could pass easily for a 30-year old woman! It’s amazing girls, get it, don’t waste time, prevent those bad boys from popping up!

I’ve visited a doctor who called himself a professional, and told me simply that these creams are … Well, let’s say the more polite word, rubbish. But then I tried the shiseido eye cream and I loved it, because it made my under eye area look good. It really did. There are so many good face creams and good eye creams that you can try out, and they really do work. I bet that doctor was just trying to score some more money. Creams do work girls, it’s not a myth, you just have to find the one that works for you. Just came here to say that you shouldn’t trust every phoney that acts like he knows it all.

My mom made me a natural eye cream, with olive oil, ginger, and honey. And it’s really moisturizing. It doesn’t remove the darkness under the eyes, but it does help with wrinkles. It’s a great anti wrinkle treatment for everyone who doesn’t like to tamper around with chemicals too much. These expensive creams seem like they can do more damage. After all, the stickers on the boxes might state one thing, but how well do we actually know what’s inside of each little box. It could say retinol or antioxidants, but where’s the guarantee?

Bye bye dark circles! I’ve met the best eye cream. Specifically an eye gel. And we are so in love! I just adore it, it soothes the skin, which is really thin around the eyes, and makes them look less puffy! I love it, it’s really unique. If you haven’t tried out an eye gel, you should. Eye treatments are fine, but gels and creams are my saviour! Love it!
