What To Expect From RF Microneedling Treatments

Pre-treatment skin consultation

During your first consultation, one of our specialist clinicians will take a full medical history, as well as some photographs of your skin. You will explain your skin concerns and ask any questions you might have. At the end of the session, you will be given instructions to prepare for your treatment.

How many sessions will you need?

You may notice results after one session, however, most clients need four sessions, over three to eight weeks for optimal results.

During the RF microneedling treatment

After you arrive, your skin will be gently cleansed before the topical anaesthetic is applied.

The microneedling device is handheld and will be directed over the areas you want to treat. As the microneedling device punctures the surface of your skin, it simultaneously discharges radiofrequency waves into the microtrauma sites. Each session is approximately 30-minutes long.

Aftercare: tips and advice

RF microneedling is considered a safe procedure. It is FDA-approved for the treatment of acne scars, facial wrinkles, and abdominal scarring in adults who are over the age of 22.

It is normal to experience mild side effects after an RF microneedling treatment as your skin heals. These may include

Follow your clinicians aftercare instructions post-treatment to reduce the likelihood and severity of side effects.
