LipoSonix
What is LipoSonix?
For individuals who are looking to get rid of stubborn fat areas which diet and exercise have simply been ineffective in dealing with, there are a range of potential options. One of these is LipoSonix by Solta Medical, and this choice in particular is continuing to become more widely utilized for several reasons. First and foremost, it’s a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure, and that appeals to many prospective patients and their families. Learn all about the LipoSonix procedure, what it is and how it works here.
The LipoSonix Procedure
LipoSonix is a non-surgical procedure utilising ultrasound technology. High-intensity ultrasound waves are focused on fat stores. These energy waves target and destroy fat cells located under the surface layers of the skin, while leaving the skin itself, and other tissues including muscle below or around the fat, unharmed.
As opposed to an ultrasound-assisted liposuction procedure, there’s no surgery involved to “suck” out the liquefied cells. In this case, the treated tissues which have been targeted will be eliminated by the body’s natural healing. The result is an improved physical appearance in the target area, eliminating specific fatty buildups and getting a more toned, contoured abdomen and waistline.
A LipoSonix treatment will typically last just one hour. One treatment is supposed to target approximately one inch from a person’s stomach or waistline, which equates to one dress or waist size. Full results will be seen in about 2 to 3 months after the procedure has been performed.
Pros and Cons of LipoSonix
The biggest advantage of LipoSonix is that it’s non-surgical and non-invasive. That eliminates all of the risks and complications of surgeries, going under anesthesia, etc. It also means that you won’t have to deal with the other side effects, including pain and bruising, lengthy recovery times, and so forth.
One of the major cons is that LipoSonix really isn’t a solution for individuals who still need to undergo a lot of weight loss. It’s really best utilized for those who are already close to their ideal, and need that one last step to get themselves where they’re going.
The procedure is best for eliminating fat around the waistline and abdomen, and not necessarily in other stubborn areas which people complain about including legs, arms, butt, etc., or for those who still need substantial weight loss and/or fatty tissue removal.
LipoSonix is not a replacement or alternative for procedures which produce more dramatic results, including liposuction and bariatric surgery. It’s more of an effective compliment and co-strategy to a healthy lifestyle, with proper nutrition and exercise.
Other Considerations
The average cost of LipoSonix in 2012 was about $1,000 in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. However, it is important to keep in mind several points. First, LipoSonix will likely require multiple treatments which will add to the cost of a single procedure. That’s why a “total” average cost for undergoing LipoSonix is closer to $2,500, which would relate to an average of 2.5 individual treatments per patient.
Additionally, this will be an out of pocket expense, and will not be covered by insurance. Most clinics though offer some form of payment plan or financing to assist their patients.
Altogether, it’s still seen as a more affordable treatment than actual liposuction surgeries. You also don’t have the added costs which an invasive surgery would produce, including anesthesia, higher levels of pre- and post-surgical care and testing, potential overnight hospital stays, etc.
As mentioned, LipoSonix is not an alternative to liposuction or bariatric surgery. It’s also not an alternative to a healthy lifestyle, and it won’t assist in continued weight loss, or improving your health. It’s very important to consult with your doctor and/or clinic to find out which types of treatments you’re eligible for, and which would make the most sense given your own personal circumstances, needs and goals.
The benefit is aesthetic, and producing a slimmer, smoother, and more toned appearance, and to get you that final step towards success and your ultimate goals. Of course, once you look at your best, you’ll also feel at your best as well, and enjoy improved self-confidence and self-esteem, which are some of the biggest reasons why someone may elect to undergo LipoSonix.
Safe, non-invasive and non-surgical, LipoSonix is all about going that final step to help you reach your biggest goals.

I’m still rethinking the lipodissolve and liposonix. I know that the doctors can provide better advice for me, since each individual is different. I have read hundreds of laser lipo reviews, and it got me even more confused. There are positive, and some negative ones. I think I fall into the category of people who are suited for such procedures, but I’m not sure which one can help with cellulite on my buttocks and legs. I don’t really have a lot of knowledge when it comes to procedures, I just know I don’t want to get a classic liposuction. If anyone has good or bad experience, I would love to hear some. I really trust people more than doctors. Maybe that’s not a good thing, but I love to hear what common people like I have to say about how it really works and what they see on their bodies after it.
I am a pretty athletic type, I have done fitness for several years now, and I’ve been doing yoga actively. I am really into body contouring, and I like having a slim body and being fit. It really means a lot to me. I never had too much cellulite on my thighs or any other area, but I guess thanks or no thanks to my genes, I have cellulite all over my stomach. No matter how much I exercise, it just doesn’t come off. I visited a clinic in Sydney to find out more about cellulite removal from somebody who really knows all there is to know. I first heard about the liposonix at this clinic. The doctor thought I was the perfect candidate for this procedure because I just needed specific areas treated. It’s a pretty safe procedure, that has minimal downtime and provides great outcomes. Seems like a great alternative to surgery to me.
I don’t like invasive procedures, they are really scary to me. And the recuperation process is long and painful, I don’t really find it appealing. I saw liposuction before and after shots, and of course, it’s really an effective treatment. Still, I researched online for other ways of cellulite reduction especially that work for the abdomen area. Liposonix got great reviews and when I consulted a specialist, it got high recommendations. It’s one of the most effective, non-invasive treatments, that give quick results, plus it doesn’t leave any scars. I like that the treatment takes an hour, plus the cost isn’t so big, for what you really get. After a month or a bit more, all of the fat cells just disappear on their own, through the body. I still have a bit of fat on my abdomen, on the sides, but I have two treatments more scheduled… My doctor guarantees that based on my physical appearance it will look dramatically different and better.
I know that laser technology has several uses in the beauty industry. I read about laser liposuction and liposculpture, and found this article on liposonix. If it is true, I am excited that there is a treatment out there, which is not aggressive, but provides results. I do have a lot of cellulite on my legs and behind, which I have to find a more efficient way to get rid of it. I’m not obese, but I don’t exercise at all, and I can’t get rid of fast food. The ultrasound technology guarantees results that don’t carry risks like surgeries, and are not that painful. I love that there are no scars either. I will definitely have to give at a go, at least for a couple of times. I would love to read some experience from women who have carried on the obesity problem for several years as I have.
This is, in my personal opinion, the best non surgical liposuction alternative out there. Liposonix has been one of the best treatments out there for me. Exercise and dieting don’t really work on me, since there are some areas on my stomach that have layers and layers of unhealthy habits I had from before I ever started caring about nutrition. This method proved to be very successful just because, as my doctor claims, I’m not an extremely complicated case, and I would not need surgery.
Still, liposonix turned out to be my saviour. It’s just the right treatment out there for women or men even who don’t have a lot of fat but still want their body to look slim and fit. Even after the first treatment, I saw a great change. It was enough for me, but now I really try to take care of my nutrition so I don’t have to undergo any treatments. Still, thumbs up for anyone who wants to try liposonix.
It’s not a pleasant thing to admit, but I consider myself obese. I admit it, and I’m not ashamed of it, because there are many people that suffer from the same problem. Maybe it’s a mistake, but I don’t want to go to surgery, I can’t handle the pain, and I don’t want to. I don’t want to take any risks, and later on lie in bed for days. I can’t, and I won’t. Laser fat removal seems like a less risky option and more natural. As it says in this article, the body finds a way to get rid of the fat cells that have been destroyed. I am willing to undergo as many treatments as I can, and I know it will take more than two, three for sure. I will do anything, just to go a couple of waist sizes down. I don’t really want to be slim and skinny, but I would be happy if this would work for me.
