How to Find the Best Laser Clinics in Australia

You can find laser clinics throughout Australia. However, they are not all equal or interchangeable. Some clinics do not hold their standards high enough when it comes to safety, customer satisfaction and quality of services. You do not want to take any chances of something going wrong with any medical treatment, cosmetic or otherwise, so you need to determine the best laser clinics before you arrive at your appointment for services.

Contact the Clinic

The fastest way to determine the quality of a clinic is to book an appointment and see how you are treated throughout the initial contacts with their staff. Is the person booking the appointment professional and responsive? When you visit for a consultation do you feel comfortable that you are in good hands? Often our instincts can detect red flags indicating poor quality of service; it is just a matter of listening to that inner voice.

Word of Mouth and Firsthand Referral

In some cases, you may not realise that the services or products do not meet quality standards until you have a negative experience. The best way to avoid this is spending time researching the laser clinics in your area of Australia. Look for information on the clinic’s website, and call them up to ask questions if you cannot find all of the information you need online. If you have not been personally referred to the clinic, you may even want to ask to speak to some of their patients to hear firsthand accounts of their experience.

Indicators of Quality for an Australian Laser Clinic

The following are some of the factors you should consider when analysing the quality and trustworthiness of a laser clinic in Australia:

  1. Treatment providers: Some clinics allow assistants, nurses or other staff members to administer injectable treatments like dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections and inexperienced assistants to perform other treatments including laser therapy, skin tightening, facial rejuvenation, and chemical peels. This increases your risk of something going wrong, since those staff members have not been adequately trained. Ensure that the person providing your injectables procedure is a doctor and your other treatments are performed by well trained, clinical expert with specific experience in the treatment he or she is providing.
  2. Equipment: The best clinics invest in state-of-the-art laser technology certified by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). These clinics have top-quality equipment and ensure that their physicians are well trained in the most advanced procedures and methods of treatment. Advanced Dermatology works in partnership with one of the world’s leading laser manufacturers Syneron and is thus always up to date with equipment.
  3. Follow-Up: The price of your procedure should include a follow-up consultation. You should be given the opportunity to meet with the physician a week or two after your procedure for a post treatment follow up. This gives you the chance to ask questions, and gives the physician the opportunity to check for problems and correct any that might exist.
  4. Full Disclosure: Physicians should take the time to thoroughly explain procedures and all associated risks to every patient. You should never feel rushed to commit to a procedure, and you should be given satisfactory answers to all of your questions. If it sounds like the physician or other staff members do not fully understand the procedures they offer, you should look for more qualified laser clinics Australia.

Educate Yourself First

While taking the time to consider clinics prior to setting an appointment is important, it is also important to fully understand your treatment options. Your physician should give you information about any cosmetic medical treatment they offer, but you need to show up to the initial consultation with some basic education.

For example, did you know that standard laser hair removal is different from IPL? IPL is often marketed as a more affordable hair removal option, but what many patients do not realise is that this procedure requires more treatment sessions than standard laser hair removal.

When visiting an Australian Laser Clinic, always ask your physician if they use a “true laser.” You should also ask questions regarding the equipment they use, the training they have received in laser hair removal, and how many treatment sessions should be needed to achieve your goals. This information is given after an initial examination during which the physician examines the areas of your body that you want treated.

Laser hair removal should be as safe as possible for all consumers. Advanced Dermatology has lobbied hard for stricter laws to protect consumers, and was the first clinic to comply with the new Health Department Guidelines in Queensland.

At Advanced Dermatology, we are proud of our commitment to providing the highest quality, safest and most effective laser clinic treatments in Australia. We encourage you to make an appointment to discuss your needs with our experienced clinicians and proud of a our position as a leading Australian laser clinic.

I had great experiences so far, partially thanks to the research I did online. I believe that you can find out everything you need to know from other people, online. When I wanted to treat my acne scars, I googled laser clinics Australia reviews to see what other people thought about the clinics. I also stumbled upon some great basic information that I never knew before. I went to a Melbourne laser clinic that was very famous for a specialist that treated patients who had severe acne problems and scars. When I spoke to him on my first consultation, he had no reserves what so ever. He openly spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of every procedure, but not just that, he advised me what kind of a treatment would be best for me, based on my skin condition and my previous experiences. I was more than thrilled, and I can safely say that the Internet lead me into the right direction.

My mother heard great stuff about a local city laser clinic, which had great customer satisfaction reviews as well as doctors that were already established as professionals. The laser clinic in Sydney she went to once before also had great reviews, but the staff did certain procedures, nurses gave injections to patients, and my mother wasn’t really ready to let anyone touch her skin who wasn’t certified to do it. These procedures aren’t really cheap, and you should really get what you pay for… Not to mention how important it is that they give you full disclosure about everything you need to know. After all, some of the procedures can be quite delicate and carry certain risks. And if you don’t have a trustworthy doctor, it can be even riskier for you. Now my mother is happy with her choice, and she is more than thrilled with the service they provide as well as the amount of professionalism they exhibit while treating you.

For me, the most important thing when searching for a clinic is to do your research. And do it really good. Ask your friends, go on the internet… There are various possibilities. When I first wanted to go to an Australia laser clinic, I was perplexed to which one should I go, because there were so many options. Laser clinics in Canberra are popular, so there are multitude of options to choose from. I opted for the one that got the best reviews on the Internet. To be honest, I read all the comments from people, and based my opinion from the good word of mouth. It really means a lot to me, when I hear that people had a good experience with a certain specialist or with the treatment, they got. So do your homework ladies and gentleman, before you chose who is going to tamper with your skin.

Be on the lookout for clinic who brag more than they should. False advertising is the main reason why I had bad experiences and more trouble than I should with skin procedures. I become somewhat sceptical. Then I decided to ask around really well before I dared to try something new. I made sure that the laser skin clinic I went to next had top-notch equipment certified by TGA. I might as well be treated with the best tools, since I pay a certain amount of money for it. Many laser clinic in Sydney have great reviews, but anyone going for any kind of skin treatment should really look for a quality service. Doctors, nurses and other staff should be qualified enough and educated for the procedure they are doing. That’s the most important thing, after all skin can be very delicate, and any damage done to it by irresponsible individuals can be really hard to recover from.

I went for a laser hair removal treatment in Sydney last year. It actually took a couple of treatments, but I was thrilled with the clinic. I got a recommendation from a friend of mine that went for the same procedure as I did. Laser hair removal requires several treatments, and because of that I really needed a clinic that I can rely on. The clinic I went to had great reviews, but I scheduled a consultation just to check things out. The staff there was more than pleasant, and made me feel more than welcome. The doctor had excellent qualifications and he made sure that I was safe in his hands. He did the procedure himself, and made sure I came for a follow up consultation. I felt free to ask him anything, because I had some doubt whether how many treatments I actually needed, because my hairs are very strong. Almost impossible to get rid of. But I’m making progress, all thanks to the expertise of my doctor.

I’ve been visiting the same Sydney laser clinic for years now. I’ve had everything done there, laser hair removal, skin tightening, chemical peels, you name it. I keep going back to the same place just because the staff there is super friendly and welcoming. And it’s the pleasantness of the people that first got me hooked to that clinic. Laser clinics in Australia have different reviews but my clinic has the best so far. The doctors are very open-minded, and advised me on how to treat my skin the right way. Not just when it comes to treatments they provide, but after the treatments are don. It’s very useful when they give you tips on how to take care of your skin. You can really benefit from their advice, after all, they are there to help you, not just take your money. Doctors that give you a thorough examination and get to know you, really know what’s best for you, long-term.

Laser clinics are so everywhere… I live in Sydney, and when I had to choose mine I had a really tough choice! I didn’t have anyone’s help…I decided to look up laser clinic bondi junction just to narrow it down and even there they were heaps of them… I ended up reading a laser clinic australia review and called them up and I was sold. I think as much as this article may help some, you are better of calling up a clinic and going there in person.

I heard about a bondi laser clinic as well… What constitutes as a good clinic to me is the one that has great equipment. Tools that the doctors use need to be modern and sterilized. And they should really check if they work properly from time to time. I also think that beauticians and doctors can compare. I would always choose a clinic that has a professional doing all the work. I don’t like people messing around with my body, if they just picked up their skills online! And many of the laser clinics Australia has are like that. They have the name clinic, but they don’t have the qualifications! So be careful when you choose, and pay attention to who is working there. They don’t have to hang their diploma on the wall, but they should definitely have great credentials.

I am just a step away from getting a laser hair removal, but do I have to get it at a laser clinic? I saw a beauty salon that does it. Not quite sure if that is the same thing. I know this is about laser clinics, but that is why I want to compare. You can’t get this kind of information at a beauty salon.

I would choose any Australian laser clinic, because they are all fabulous. I might be an optimist, but I really had great results with each one. I changed them a lot, what can I say… I don’t know where exactly a sydney laser clinic at bondi junction is located…

My skin has been healthier and rejuvenated ever since I started visiting laser clinics. I feel rejuvenated, and my friends tell me I look rejuvenated. I get more dates with every day that goes buy. I guess it boosted my self-confidence through the roof. But as long as we are speaking of laser clinics Australia is the winner. I think that the professionals that are in the clinics give one hundred percent to make you feel comfortable, and to offer you treatments that will give you the thing you need and want. Of course, there’s always going to be a clinic that is stingy on something, whether it’s equipment or safety, but that’s pretty much obvious the moment you walk into the place.
