Wrinkle Injection
Iron-out deep wrinkles by injections in a ten-minute session.
The best treatment for you will depend on the area being treated
and the severity of the wrinkle, both of which vary from
individual to individual.
Muscle Relaxers are made from purified protein derived from a
bacteria. It works by inhibiting the release of a chemical from
the nerve ending (acetylcholine) that causes the muscle to
contract. Injectable muscle relaxants are used to treat wrinkles
and work by relaxing the wrinkle-causing muscles that cause
people to frown or squint, creating an improved appearance. Once
the muscle is relaxed, you cannot contract it and continue to
make the undesirable facial expression. Thus, the cosmetic
injections gradually smooth wrinkles and prevent wrinkles from
forming again.
Its original use was to relieve incapacitating eyelid spasms,
but its cosmetic indications continue to expand, diminishing the
furrows between the eyebrows (glabella), softening crow’s feet
and forehead lines, raising the corners of the mouth, reducing
neck bands, and controlling excessive sweating. The effect is
not immediate and may take 3 to 5 days to begin working.
Muscle Relaxers can also be used to elevate the brows, resulting
in a more youthful appearance. This has been referred to in the
literature as a chemical brow lift. The technique of lifting the
brow includes injection of the glabellar area as described in
the brow furrow section.
